Julia McVey received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in 1982. After ten years as an American Airlines flight attendant, she returned to the University of Denver Law School where she received her J.D. in 1991. She is a co-editor of the revised Colorado Estate Planning Handbook and co-editor of Council Notes, a publication for the Trust and Estates Section of the Colorado Bar Association. She frequently speaks for continuing legal education programs on the topics of estate planning and probate administration. Mrs. McVey co-authored an article for the Colorado Lawyer on Marital Agreements. She is a participating attorney in the AARP Legal Services Network Referral Group.
Ms. McVey is a member of the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations, the Centennial Estate Planning Council and the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council where she served as President.
Administrative AssistantsCynthia Bauman is a Colorado native. She was the Jefferson County probate registrar from 1985 to 1996, and has been a probate paralegal from 1996 to present. Ms. Bauman is active in many civic organizations, including Kiwanis Club and Habitat for Humanity.
Terri Smith has 15 years of experience in accounting, and has assisted in estate and trust bookkeeping administration for the past four years. In her free time, she enjoys photography, hiking and spending time with her family. Terri's photographs are used on this website.
